2017.01.24 | 김미희

Taejoon Pharm. (President Taeyoung Lee, CEO Joon youb Lee) has launched its Xalost Ophthalmic Solution, a glaucoma medication, onto the Chinese market.
Xalost Ophthalmic Solution developed by Taejoon Pharm., a company specializing in ophthalmic products, has been receiving a positive response from the Chinese market since early this year, following its launch in a number of EU member countries including Germany, Spain, UK, Swiss, etc.
Taejoon Pharm. is also currently working to gain a license to sell Xalost Plus Ophthalmic Solution with the goal of releasing it onto the Chinese market in the first half of 2016.
As products manufactured using world-class EU GMP-certified facilities, Xalost Ophthalmic Solution and Xalost Ophthalmic Plus Solution obtained a license to be sold in Europe from BfArM in April 2008 and, ever since, have been actively exported.
Xalost solutions, whose excellent quality once again proved by obtaining GH certification in June 2011 from Korea Health Industry Development Institute under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, are making a new leap to become global medical products by entering into the Chinese market following Europe.
By succeeding in exporting aseptic ophthalmic agents requiring a high level of quality management to the Chinese market which is one of the largest medical product markets in the world as well as one where it is especially difficult to obtain a medical product import license, Taejoon Pharm. marked a new era in the Korean medical product export history.
As an innovative pharmaceutical company that is designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and specializes in ophthalmic and gastroenterologic products, contrast agents, etc., Taejoon Pharm. is strengthening its position as a global pharmaceutical company such as by exporting all over the world including Europe, the US and China its medical products manufactured using its facilities that obtained EU-GMP certification in 2008 for the first time in Korea, and releasing its Korea’s first single-use artificial tears onto Walgreens, CVS and Walmart in the States.
